Q 1 : What is tinplate? Are printed tins in food safety?
A 1 : Tinplate is a steel plate electrolytically coated with a fine layer of tin for protective purposes. It is a high quality safe packaging material for food items such as cookies, candies, chocolates, beverages etc. A food grade lacquer is coated on the inside of the tin to prevent corrosion and interaction of the tin with the food product and thus make it suitable for food storage. Moreover, all the materials applied including the printing inks are all food safety. |
|
Q 2 : Why is metal packaging a better option?
A 2 : Tins innately imply extra value for your products and they are collectible. Tin packaging improves brand recognition, attracts new customers, and generates repeat business for you. It helps to differentiate your product from the competition and create a significant sales promoting effect. The price achievable by placing your product in a tin entirely justifies the extra cost of the tin. Besides, tinplate is an environmentally friendly material and is 100% recyclable. |
